Junior Resident (dentistry)

POSITION

Junior Resident – Dentistry (tenure engagement) at SKIMS Medical College Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar.

✅ Eligibility

• Minimum qualification: BDS recognized by DCI/NMC.
• Must have completed one‑year compulsory rotatory internship from a DCI/NMC‑recognized institution.
• Permanent Registration Certificate from J&K Dental Council required.
• Candidates who have already served a junior residency of six months or more (inside or outside the institution) are ineligible.

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Obtain the prescribed application form from the Academic Section or download it from the official website {BapuTalk Protected}
• Attach a recent passport‑size photograph and self‑attested copies of: DOB certificate, BDS degree, internship completion certificate, and J&K Dental Council registration certificate.
• Submit the completed form to the Academic Section, SKIMS MCH, Bemina.

FEE

• Application fee: Rs. 500/- payable to CD‑10 account, J&K Bank, SKIMS MCH premises.
• Attach the bank receipt with the application form.

DEADLINE

Last date for receipt of applications: 22/07/2026.

EXAM PATTERN

• Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).
• No negative marking.
• Preliminary answer key will be uploaded on the college website on the same day as the exam; final answer key later.

MINIMUM MARKS

Candidates must secure at least 40 % marks in the written test to be considered for selection.

MERIT VALIDITY

Merit list will be prepared based on exam marks and will remain valid for one year from issuance, subject to availability of vacant positions.

TIE BREAKER

In case of equal marks, the older candidate (senior in age) will be given preference.

RESULT & ANSWER KEY

Preliminary answer key and final answer key will be posted on the college website ({BapuTalk Protected} Representations regarding the answer key must be submitted within the stipulated time frame; the institution’s decision will be final.
