The Gauri Shankar Temple is a beautiful example of the Rajasthani style of architecture. It has been built with red sandstone and marble, which gives it a rich appearance. The temple's main hall is called the garbhagriha (inner sanctum), where Lord Shiva's idol is placed on an elevated platform known as an altar.
The outer walls are decorated with intricate carvings depicting scenes from Hindu mythology and daily life in ancient India. There are also many statues depicting different gods and goddesses around the complex, including one of Lord Krishna playing his flute near a pillar made out of white marble imported from Jaipur

The Shivalinga at this temple is believed to be very old and dates back to the times when Lord Rama was still alive on earth. According to legends, Lord Rama had visited this place during his exile period with Sita Mata (his wife) and Lakshmana (his brother).
The story goes like this:
Once when they were passing through this area on their way back from Sri Lanka after defeating Ravana, they stopped at Gauri Shankar Temple where they prayed for long hours before leaving again for Ayodhya

The Gauri Shankar Temple is located on top of an artificial hill made from earth dug out from nearby ponds during its construction. The main idol here is Lord Shiva's trident with one face looking towards east and another facing west (known as Trimurthi). There are also idols of Goddess Parvati & Kartikeya along with other deities like Ganeshji & Bhairavnathji inside this temple complex which makes it very popular among locals as well as tourists visiting Rajasthan
